We work with local people to shape the future of our projects and to ensure the benefits of solar energy developments are realised in a way that positively impacts local people.

Clean, Green, Reliable Domestic Energy

  • Provide enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of 18,000 homes for future generations, maintaining supply and adding to our energy security
  • Help Wychavon and Worcestershire to meet their 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030, in line with local and national targets
  • Save over 1,200,000 tonnes of CO2 in comparison to the equivalent amount of energy generated by fossil fuel energy
  • Provide battery storage that will allow the site to export clean renewable energy to the grid 24/7, not just during the daylight hours, making the grid more stable

New Community Facilities

  • Significant investment in green infrastructure for the local community including a green corridor route and new blue corridor permissive path circular walk opening up access between the surrounding villages and improving links with the Millennium Way
  • New picnic benches, community orchard, outdoor educational space and interpretation boards at various intervals;
  • Free school lessons from qualified beekeepers on and off site for local school children;

Bringing Biodiversity Benefits

  • Deliver a net biodiversity gain of a minimum of 94%
  • Support local wildlife with bird and bat boxes, mammal gates and beehives
  • Plant new trees, hedgerows and a wildflower meadow
  • Flooding betterment proposals along the Stock Green Brook;
  • The restoration of traditional field boundaries and landscaping enhancements

Supporting the local economy

  • A community benefit to support the installation of rooftop solar pv systems on local community buildings;
  • The creation of up to 80 jobs during construction
  • Nearly £7.6 million of business rates during the life of the solar farm
  • An opportunity for farm diversification on land which is grade 3b and considered not best and most versatile.
